What is laser welding?

Laser welding is a welding process in which a concentrated laser beam is used to join metal components. In practice, this is carried out using class 4 handheld laser devices: the most powerful category of lasers, to which established safety risks are attached.

Individual protective measures such as goggles or screens provide insufficient protection for class 4 laser work.
