In May 2025, Cepro completed a new project in collaboration with LWB WeldTech AG for the Fachhochschule Windisch. The project involved the design and installation of a custom-built welding area inside the school’s technical workshop, with a strong focus on flexibility, safety, and functionality.
The main challenge was to transform a compact area into a versatile welding environment that could easily adapt to different needs. Whether used for individual student training, live demonstrations, or group work, the space had to allow quick and seamless transitions between open and enclosed setups. Cepro rose to the challenge with a tailored solution built on years of experience in welding safety systems.
At the heart of the installation are Cepro’s signature orange transparent welding curtains, compliant with EN ISO 25980 standards. These curtains protect against sparks, UV radiation, and blue light, while still allowing visibility and natural light to pass through, ensuring both safety and awareness in the workspace.
The curtains are mounted on a custom-designed rail system made of high-quality steel and suspended from the ceiling using threaded rods. This setup allows the curtains to slide smoothly side-to-side or be drawn aside completely, opening up the space. The layout can be adjusted within seconds to create multiple work bays or a fully open floor, perfect for the dynamic requirements of an educational setting. The new welding zone empowers instructors to manage the configuration with ease, promoting active, hands-on learning while maintaining full control of the environment.
This project highlights Cepro’s commitment to delivering innovative, practical solutions tailored to client needs. By working closely with LWB WeldTech AG and the school’s facility team, every detail, from technical specifications to on-site installation, was carefully managed for smooth delivery. Now fully operational, the installation is a strong example of how smart design and quality materials can turn even a small workshop into a state-of-the-art learning environment.
