Outdoor welding

Outdoor welding covers any welding work that takes place outside a fixed workshop or production hall: on a construction site, alongside a railway track, at an industrial installation or in the middle of a factory site. The job moves to the object, and the protection goes with it. We help you set it up and choose the right products.

Is setting up an outdoor welding site difficult?

Welding safely outdoors is more complex than in a hall. The environment varies, weather conditions differ, colleagues and passers-by are present, and the screening needs to be set up and taken down quickly. Cepro develops outdoor welding products for exactly those situations: light enough to carry, strong enough to protect.

Occupational health and safety guidelines for outdoor welding

Outdoor welding carries the same hazards as indoor welding: UV radiation, sparks, spatter and welding light. Occupational health and safety guidelines require welding work to be enclosed or screened off, regardless of location. Working outdoors does not exempt an employer from that obligation.

Especially at busy work sites such as construction sites, railway tracks or industrial estates, colleagues and bystanders are close by. A good outdoor welding solution protects the welder and everyone within reach of sparks and radiation. The material must be flame- and fire-retardant and able to withstand changing weather conditions.

Three outdoor welding products for your work situation

Cepro offers three solutions for outdoor welding, each suited to a different type of job. All products are developed and produced in-house.

  • Welding umbrella. The lightest and most portable option. Compact, quick to set up and ideal for short-term outdoor welding jobs. The canvas is flame- and fire-retardant.

  • Welding tent Light Duty. Offers more protection than the umbrella, in a size that is still easy to transport. Suitable for crews that regularly change location.

  • HD tent. The heaviest-duty version. For long-term work or intensive outdoor welding projects requiring larger, more stable screening.

Which outdoor welding solution suits you best depends on the duration of the job, the environment and the level of protection required. We are happy to help you weigh that up.

The welding umbrella is the lightest option for short-term jobs on site. The welding tent light duty offers more protection in changing working environments. The HD tent is the heaviest-duty version for long-term outdoor welding projects.

Cepro's outdoor welding products are used in road construction, railway maintenance, industrial assembly and the construction industry: every sector where welding takes place on site and temporary screening is needed.
